Finally took the step to find a therapist and I should have done it years ago
Had my first real therapy session this week after months of thinking about it. Been dealing with depression off and on for probably 5+ years and just kept telling myself I could handle it on my own. Turns out I couldn't. The therapist seems great and we started working through some stuff about my childhood and how it affects me now as a dad. Already feeling a little lighter just from talking about it with someone who actually knows what they're doing. If you've been thinking about therapy do yourself a favor and just call someone. Took me 3 tries to find a therapist I liked but it's worth the effort.
Good for you man. I've been thinking about it for a while but never pulled the trigger. How'd you find the right therapist?
