Had a breakdown at work yesterday
Was in a meeting about budget cuts and my brain just short-circuited. Felt my chest tighten, started sweating, had to excuse myself. Spent 10 mins in the bathroom trying to breathe normally. No one noticed but I felt humiliated. This is the second time this has happened in 3 months. I think I need to actually address this instead of just white-knuckling through. Anybody dealt with panic attacks at work?
That tight chest feeling is rough. Glad you had those 10 mins to reset. Did the meeting get better after or was the whole rest of the day just off?
the fact that you hid it well enough nobody noticed is kind of impressive but also... maybe a sign you're running on fumes? That's your body's way of tapping out
