Just got diagnosed with GAD at 42

My whole life I thought I was just "high strung" or "a worrier." Finally went to a doctor because the chest pain was getting worse and after some tests and talking to a mental health specialist, they diagnosed me with generalized anxiety disorder. Honestly relieved it has a name and a treatment plan? My brothers are apparently the same way so maybe it runs in the family. Anyway just venting. Feels weird to finally have an explanation.
