Loneliness is real even with a family
This might sound weird but I feel alone a lot even though I'm married with three kids. Like nobody really gets me or what's going on in my head. My buddies from high school have drifted off, I'm too tired after work and kids to maintain friendships. Wife is doing her own thing with the kids. I love my family but there's this underlying loneliness that won't go away. Thinking about joining a group or something but also feel weird about that.
That loneliness is real even when you're surrounded by people. I think a lot of us dads feel it but don't talk about it. Glad you put it out there because you're definitely not alone in feeling alone.
