Loneliness is real even with a full house
I've got three kids, wife works nights sometimes, I'm around people literally all day but I feel so alone. Don't really have friends I hang out with anymore, lost touch with the guys from college, most conversations are about schedules and bills. This might sound weird but I just miss talking to another adult about something other than kid stuff. Anyone found a way to build actual friendships after having kids?
This hits different. Everyone assumes that having a full house means you're never lonely but it's the opposite sometimes. The kids need things, your wife is exhausted, and nobody really knows what's going on in your head. Maybe find even 20 minutes a week for yourself?
