Loneliness is real when you're the only dad in the friend group

Most of my buddies don't have kids yet and they still want to go out drinking till 2am on weekends. I can't do that anymore and now it feels like they don't really get it. I've tried talking to the other dads at school pickup but it's hard to connect when you're all just trying to get through the day. Feeling pretty isolated honestly. Anyone know how to deal with losing your crew when you become a dad?

Man, I feel this. My buddies without kids still expect me to be the same guy I was before my daughter was born. It sucks, but you'll find your people eventually, other dads who get it.

Yeah, nap time is when I recharge too. The dynamic with your old crew will shift, but that's just life changing. Worth it though.
