My anxiety is out of control and I'm hiding it from everyone
Been having panic attacks at work for the past month. My heart starts racing, I feel like I can't breathe, and I'm convinced something is seriously wrong with me even though the doctor said I'm fine. Haven't told my wife because I don't want her to think I can't handle things. Haven't told my boss because I'm worried about job security. Just been white knuckling through it and it's not getting better. Does anyone else deal with this?
Those panic attacks sound rough. I've been there during stressful work periods and hiding it just made things worse. Your family would want to know you're struggling so they can support you. Worth having that conversation?
