Doc recommended buspirone for my anxiety but I'm nervous about the sexual side effects I read about online. Has anyone actually been on this? Worried it's gonna tank my relationship with my wife even more than my current anxiety is lol. Looking for real experience not WebMD horror stories.
I get the nervousness but honestly anxiety can tank your sex drive way more than the meds will. My therapist explained it like that to me and it actually made sense. Worth trying it and seeing how your body responds.
The internet is terrible for this stuff because people post about problems way more than successes. Buspirone has a pretty good track record. Give it a real shot before you write it off.

Buspirone is actually known for having fewer sexual side effects compared to SSRIs, so you might be in better shape than you think. I was on it for like 6 months and didn't experience anything like that. Definitely worth asking your doc about it specifically since it sounds like that's your main concern.
Did you ask the doctor about starting at a lower dose and working up? Sometimes side effects are dose dependent and your body adjusts. My brother did that with anxiety meds and said it made a huge difference.
