Quick question about finding a therapist
Looking for someone in the Seattle area who works with dads specifically and takes insurance. Tried googling but I'm getting overwhelmed by options. Do you start with your regular doc for a referral or just call therapists directly? Also how do you even know if someone is good before you commit to paying them lol
Seattle has a pretty good mental health scene. Try Psychology Today and filter by insurance and that you want someone who works with dads or understands parenting stress. Should give you some options.
Be prepared that you might not vibe with the first person you talk to. I had to switch twice before finding someone who actually got the dad perspective and didn't just treat me like I was my wife's support system.
