Rant: Why is asking for help so hard?

My brother offered to take the kids for a few hours last weekend so I could rest and I literally almost said no because I felt guilty. GUILTY. Like, my brother OFFERED. He was happy to do it. But my brain was like "you should be able to handle everything, asking for help means you're weak." So stupid. I did let him take them and it was great but man, that voice in my head is loud. Anyone else deal with this guilt around accepting help?
