Self care as a dad feels selfish but I'm trying
Started taking 30 minutes every Sunday morning to just go for a walk alone. No phone, no kids, no wife asking me to fix something. Just me and my thoughts. My brain is telling me I should be doing something productive but honestly this walk is the only time I feel like myself anymore. Feeling a little less angry at everything which is good. Small wins right?
That 30 minutes is not selfish, that's mandatory maintenance. You can't pour from an empty cup. I started doing early morning walks too and it's changed my whole outlook on the day.
