Started antidepressants last month and actually feeling like myself again
Not gonna lie I was really against meds for a long time. Thought it meant I was weak or something. Been dealing with depression on and off for about 10 years but the last couple years got really dark. Finally saw a psychiatrist and got on sertraline. It's been a month and I'm noticing I actually want to do things again. I played with my kids in the backyard last weekend and actually enjoyed it instead of feeling numb. If anyone's on the fence about medication I get it but it's helped me.
That took guts to talk about. Weakness has nothing to do with it, sounds like you finally got the right tool. My plumbing skills might be questionable but my willingness to get help when I need it isn't, and neither is yours.
