Started therapy and it's actually helping
Was really skeptical about it honestly. Thought it was weak or something, which I know is stupid. But my therapist has been helping me work through some stuff about my own dad and how that affects how I parent. It's hard but in a good way. If you're thinking about it, just do it. No shame in taking care of your mental health.
It's not stupid at all. A lot of us grew up thinking we had to handle everything alone. Taking care of your mental health is just good parenting honestly. Your kids are watching you model how to deal with hard stuff.
