Started therapy and it's helping more than I expected
I was really hesitant about going to therapy. Felt like I should just be able to handle things on my own as a dad you know. But I've been going for about 3 months now and it's genuinely helping. My therapist is helping me work through some stuff from my own childhood that I didn't realize was affecting how I parent. I'm less reactive with my kids and my wife says I'm easier to be around. If you're thinking about it, just go. Best decision I've made in a while.
It really does help when you find the right therapist. Takes a few sessions sometimes to figure out the fit but it sounds like you're already seeing the benefit.
