Started therapy and not sure if it's helping
Been going to therapy for like two months now for anxiety and depression. My therapist seems nice enough but I don't feel like we're really connecting. I keep telling myself to give it more time but part of me wonders if I'm just wasting money. How many sessions did it take before you felt like therapy was actually working? Should I switch therapists or am I just being impatient? Also does anyone else feel weird talking about their feelings to a stranger?
Therapy works but it's not like instant medicine. I'm at 3 months now and starting to see real shifts in how I handle anxiety. Stick with it.
