Started therapy last month and not sure if it's helping
My wife finally convinced me to talk to someone about the depression stuff I've been dealing with. Had my 4th session last week and I don't know if I'm just naturally resistant to it or what but I don't feel much different yet. The therapist seems cool and asks good questions but I'm waiting for like some big breakthrough that just hasn't come. Anyone else deal with this in the beginning of therapy? How long before you actually felt better?
It takes a few months usually before you really start seeing the benefits. Stick with it. Your wife was right to push you on this one.
I went through something similar and it definitely gets better. Give it more time, the first month is just getting used to talking to someone about it.
