Started therapy last month, feeling weird about it
Been going to therapy for about 4 weeks now after my wife basically gave me an ultimatum. Not gonna lie, first two sessions I wanted to quit. Felt like I was paying someone to listen to me complain. But something clicked last week where I actually had a realization about why I get so angry at my kids over small stuff. It's not about the spilled milk, it's about control. Still feels weird admitting this stuff out loud but I think it's actually helping. Anyone else been skeptical but then come around to it?
The first month is always the hardest because you're aware of every thought and behavior. By month three you stop thinking about the fact that you're doing it and just do it. Hang in there.
