Started therapy last month - here's what I wish I'd known

Been seeing a therapist for 4 weeks now and ngl, the first session was awkward as hell. I spent 30 mins talking about my job instead of why I was actually there (anxiety attacks about being a "good enough" dad). Second session I brought notes. Third session I actually cried. Fourth session yesterday we made a real plan.
The thing nobody tells you: it doesn't "fix" you in one session. But having someone who isn't your partner, your mom, or your dad to talk to is... weirdly relieving? Worth every penny of my copay so far. If you've been thinking about it, just do it.
