Support group meeting - Kansas City area?

Anyone know of a dad mental health support group in the KC area? Preferably something that meets in person. I've been thinking about going for months and I'm finally ready but I don't even know where to start looking. Online stuff feels awkward to me. Would be cool to talk to other dads who actually get it without the pressure of fixing anything.

Try DadsDivorced or similar Facebook groups for KC - they sometimes have IRL meetup info in the comments. Not always mental health focused but good dad groups regardless.

I don't know KC area specifically but Psychology Today has a therapist finder that filters for support groups. Might be worth checking there first.

Check with KC Parks and Rec or your local library system. A lot of them host community groups. Also your pediatrician might have referrals for dad-specific groups.

Good for you for taking that step. That's actually the hard part. Try calling your local community mental health center - they usually have listings of dad groups.
