The loneliness of being a stay at home dad
Decided to stay home with the kids when my wife went back to work and financially it makes sense. But man I feel so isolated. My old work friends are gone, parent groups are mostly moms, and I'm spending most days with a 3 and 5 year old. Love my kids but I'm struggling with the lack of adult interaction. Anyone else make this choice and how did you handle the mental side of it?
This is something people don't talk about enough. Everyone assumes being home is this paradise but it can feel isolating, especially when you're the only dad doing it in your circle. Have you looked into any local dad groups?
