The loneliness of stay-at-home dadding
Been home with the kids for two years since my wife makes more money. It's great being with them but dude the isolation is real. All the parent groups are moms who seem uncomfortable having a dad around. I don't get adult conversation most days. Started feeling pretty depressed about it. Just joined a dad group that meets at a coffee shop and it's helped so much just being around other dudes who get it. Isolation is the killer. If you're struggling reach out to someone.
Stay at home dadding is tough because you don't get the built in adult interaction that work gives you. Have you looked into any dad groups in your area? Game changers for me.
