The loneliness that nobody warns you about
You think having a wife and kids means you're never alone but man the loneliness is real. My wife is burnt out from the kids so we don't really connect anymore. My friends don't have kids so they don't get why I can't just come hang out. My coworkers don't know this side of me. I'm surrounded by people who depend on me and I've never felt more isolated. Just needed to say it somewhere. Anyone else?
This is the hard part nobody talks about. Being present with the kids is one thing, but you still need to be present with your wife too. Both are exhausting but both matter.
