Therapy is helping more than I expected
Started seeing a therapist a few months ago because of depression and I was really skeptical about the whole thing. Thought I could just white knuckle through it. But honestly it's made a difference. Having someone to talk to who doesn't judge and actually knows what they're doing has helped me understand why I think the way I do. I'm not magically happy but I feel less trapped in my own head. If you're considering it, I'd say just try it.
That skepticism is real but I'm hearing more and more dads say the same thing. Once you get past that initial weird feeling it actually works. Good for you for sticking with it.
