Therapy wait lists are INSANE right now
Been trying to find a therapist in Denver for 2 months. Everything is booked out 3-4 months. Finally found someone who could take me but they only do evening appointments and with my work schedule that's tough. Considered going back to meds but honestly I want to try talk therapy first. Anyone have tips for finding therapists faster or is everyone just dealing with this nightmare right now?
This is insane. We finally got in after 6 weeks of calling around and our first appointment isn't until November. Ended up doing some sessions through an app-based service just to get something started.
The Denver market is rough right now. I had a therapist tell me she's not even taking new patients because her wait list is a year out. It's making me wonder if we should just move to teletherapy.
