UPDATE: Been off the booze for 3 months now
Posted back in January about using beer as my coping mechanism and y'all gave real talk. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm cured or whatever, but I've been sober for 3 months now. Found an AA sponsor, taking it seriously. My kids actually ask to hang out with me now instead of hiding when I come home. My wife is... cautiously optimistic. Not trying to be preachy but if you're using alcohol to deal with stress/anxiety, it's worth looking at seriously. Not easy but so worth it.
Three months is legit. That's not a small thing. Getting a sponsor is the part that actually matters—it means you're taking it seriously and not just white-knuckling it. Proud of you for sticking with it.
