We're on day 14 and I feel like I haven't put my son down in days. The second we try to set him in the bassinet he loses it. Is this normal? I keep reading that you're not supposed to make a habit of it but he seems to sleep fine in arms. Parents who've been through this, does it get better? My arms are going numb.
Hang in there man. Day 14 is still super early. I remember thinking I'd never put my daughter down either but honestly by week 4 or 5 things shifted naturally. Try a swaddle and maybe some white noise if you haven't already?
Welcome to the newborn stage. Yeah we're in the same boat at 3 weeks and my arms are absolutely killing me but apparently that's just how it goes. Everyone keeps saying it gets better soon.
Two weeks in is peak 'baby will only sleep on you' time. This is unfortunately normal. The good news is it does pass eventually. For now just accept that you're going to hold your son and try to sleep when he sleeps. White noise machine helped us a ton.

This phase doesn't last forever even though it feels like it will. Our son was the same way. We eventually got him into a bassinet by slowly transitioning him. Lots of patience needed but you're doing the right thing by holding him right now.
