We've tried everything. He eats, we change him, he gets burped, we rock him, white noise machine is on, room temp is good. My son just cries for like 2-3 hours starting around midnight. Wife and I are running on maybe 3 hours of sleep total. Is this just how it is for the first month or should we call the pediatrician? How long did this last for you guys?
Three weeks is tough. So much of it is just their digestive system adjusting. Try cycling through different positions - some babies just need to be held upright a bit. How's your wife doing with all this? She okay?
Those first few weeks are brutal. We went through the same thing with our daughter. Have you tried swaddling him really tight? That helped us more than anything else. Also dark room, darker than you think.
Hang in there. This phase passes faster than you'd think. When did it start - right at bedtime or throughout the night? Our son had a window where he'd cry for two hours around 8pm and honestly we just had to weather it.

The witching hour is real and those early weeks are no joke. One thing that helped us - my wife and I would tag team every other night so at least one of us got real sleep. You can't pour from an empty cup.
