4 month old won't sleep unless held - am I doing something wrong?
My son is 4 months old and literally will not sleep in his bassinet or crib. The second we put him down he wakes up screaming. My wife and I have been taking shifts just holding him while he sleeps at night and honestly we're dying. We've tried white noise, different temps, swadling, everything. Is this normal? When did your babies finally accept sleeping on their own? I'm starting to think we broke something lol.
You're not doing anything wrong. Some babies are just contact sleepers at that age. My pediatrician said it would pass and honestly it did around 5-6 months. In the meantime you could try warming the crib sheet or using a white noise machine.
