Anyone else terrified during the first bath?

We gave our son his first real bath yesterday after the umbilical stump fell off. I was so nervous about dropping him or the water being the wrong temp. Took like 20 minutes for a 5 minute bath because I kept second guessing myself. He seemed fine though, barely cried. When does it get less scary?

Ha, I was terrified too. Your nervousness just means you're doing it right. The fact that you were thinking about water temp and grip tells me your son was in good hands.

First bath is scary as hell, no joke. Sounds like you nailed it though. That water temp anxiety is real but you clearly had it handled.
