Considering dropping the money on this since everyone raves about it. Currently using a cheap wrap from Target and it's... not great if I'm being honest. We live in Portland so we walk everywhere and having both hands free would be clutch. Is the Bjorn Mini worth like $100+ or should I just get better at the wrap situation? Also any other carriers I should look at?
How old is your baby? The Mini works better once they're like 4+ months with good neck control. If you're still in newborn phase maybe wait a bit?
Portland walks with hands free would be clutch. Honestly for 6+ months of constant use the Bjorn pays for itself. The cheap wraps destroy your back and shoulders. That said, look for sales - I got mine on like 20% off at Buy Buy Baby before they closed.
We have the Mini and actually love it. Used it from like 3 months through 18 months. The both-hands-free thing was KEY when we were doing farmer's market runs. That said, your kid's size matters—what's your baby at weight-wise?
Honestly read some reviews on the Mini specifically about the hip support because a lot of people say after a couple miles your hips hurt even though the carrier itself is quality. Maybe try renting one before buying?
The Bjorn Mini is legitimately good if you're doing serious walking. That said, if the Target wrap works for short trips, maybe test out a mid-range option like an Ergobaby first? No point dropping $100 if the only problem is longer walks.
The wrap broke for us immediately which is why we got the Bjorn but also maybe your Target wrap just needs better technique? Have you watched like an actual tutorial video or just winging it?
Portland = yes get a decent carrier. But the Bjorn Mini might be overkill depending on how long you're wearing baby. If it's 30-60 mins at a time, the wrap is probably fine. If it's hours-long walks multiple times a week, upgrade is worth it.

Baby Bjorn Mini is legit. I have the wrap AND the carrier and the Bjorn is so much faster for quick trips. But $100+ is real money. If you're walking everywhere constantly it's probably worth it though. The wrap gets old fast.
Replying to the timing comment - this is actually important. The Mini isn't great for tiny newborns. But if you're already using a wrap successfully, you probably have good technique and the upgrade would actually feel amazing.
