Baby's first smile happened today and I'm not okay

My daughter is 6 weeks old and today she smiled at me. Not the newborn gas smiles, an actual real smile where she saw me and her whole face lit up. I literally teared up. I know it's just a milestone but man it hit me that this little human recognizes me and is happy to see me. 10/10 would recommend being a dad.

That's the good stuff right there. Nothing beats that connection when your kid actually recognizes you and reacts to it. Soak it in, this is what it's all about.

Man, that's the moment right there. Those first real smiles hit different than anything else. Cherish it because before you know it she'll be rolling her eyes at your jokes instead of smiling at you.

Dude, I remember that exact feeling with my first. You're gonna want to capture these moments because they go by so fast. Worth keeping a journal or something so you don't forget the details.
