Baby wont sleep unless Im holding him
My son is 3 weeks old and literally will not sleep unless I'm holding him or hes in contact with me. The second I try to put him down in the bassinet he screams. My wife is exhausted and I feel like all I do is hold a baby and try not to move. We're both running on like 2 hours of sleep. Is this normal or are we doing something wrong? When does this phase end because I cant keep this up much longer.
Normal newborn behavior honestly. Mine did the exact same thing. Once you accept that you're basically a human pacifier for a few more weeks it gets less frustrating. He'll eventually sleep on his own.
Have you tried contact naps in a baby wrap or carrier? Freed me up a little bit to at least move around instead of being pinned to the couch for hours.
