Bottle feeding question
We've been exclusively bottle feeding and my son is almost 2 months old. He seems to be going through bottles pretty fast and I'm wondering if he's eating the right amount. The pediatrician said he should be getting around 20 ounces a day but some days he wants more. Is it normal for them to eat different amounts day to day? He looks healthy and is gaining weight fine but I just want to make sure we're doing this right.
First few months are wild with how much they eat. We went through so many bottles I thought we'd never catch up with laundry. Your pediatrician can give you the formula amount he should be taking based on weight but honestly every kid is different.
That's totally normal. Babies at that age are basically eating machines. As long as he's having wet diapers and gaining weight at his checkups you're doing fine. The bottle consumption will feel insane but trust me it evens out.
