Bottle feeding question - am I overfeeding?

Started supplementing with formula about a week ago. My daughter seems to want to eat every 2-3 hours instead of the 3-4 the pediatrician said. Is she actually hungry or are we just making it too easy for her to feed? Feels like we're feeding constantly. Anyone else deal with this?
