Bottle feeding question - does anyone else's baby reject bottles sometimes?

We've been trying to introduce a bottle so my wife can get a break and I can feed our 8 week old. Some days he takes it no problem, other days he straight up refuses and screams until we give him the breast. It's driving us crazy because we never know when we can actually leave the house. Tried different bottle nipples, warming the milk, bottle feeding him while he's sleepy. What are we missing here?

My son rejected bottles for the first couple months and it was stressful. Turns out he was just being picky about the temperature and the nipple flow. We warmed them up more and switched to a slower flow nipple and he started taking them fine.

Yeah our 8 week old does this too. Some days she takes the bottle no problem, other days she screams at it. Our pediatrician said it's pretty normal at that age. We've been trying different bottle types and nipple sizes. Tommee Tippee bottles worked best for us.

This happened with our first. The key for us was having someone other than mom give the bottle so baby didn't smell the milk from mom. Also making sure the bottle is actually warm enough. Sometimes they just want what they know though.
