So my wife is pumping and I'm doing a lot of the bottle feeds which I actually love because it gives us bonding time and lets her rest. Someone at work told me about pace feeding where you pause during the feed to let the baby control the pace better. Has anyone done this? We're using standard bottles right now. Should we switch to bottles designed for pace feeding or is it not a big deal?

You're already ahead of the game by loving those bottle feeds. So many dads miss out on that bonding time. For pace feeding, I'd say watch your pediatrician's recommendations but generally slower is better. Our daughter was spitting up way less once we started being more intentional about it.
