Bottle feeding vs breast feeding - real talk from dads

My wife is exhausted and thinking about switching to formula so I can take more of the feeding load. I want to support whatever is best for her and the baby but I'm seeing so much conflicting info online about which is better. We're not trying to be perfect just trying to survive. Anyone else go through this decision? How did it work out for you guys? Also is there a learning curve with bottle prep or is it pretty straightforward?

This is smart parenting right here. If your wife is exhausted, something needs to change. Formula let me be way more hands on with my kids and honestly the bonding happened during feeding either way. Support her decision whatever she chooses.

Formula is totally legit. My wife did combo feeding and it was honestly a game changer for us. She got to rest more, I got to feed during the night sometimes, and our daughter got fed. Win across the board. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about switching.

Real talk - exhausted mom is not good for anyone. We did formula from week 2 and I was able to take the night feedings. My wife actually smiled again after getting some sleep. Don't overthink it, fed is best and honestly taking that load off your wife is one of the best things you can do for your family right now.
