Bottle feeding vs breastfeeding debate with the wife

My wife really wants to try breastfeeding exclusively but she's exhausted and in pain. I keep suggesting we do bottles with formula to give her a break but she feels guilty about it. I'm ready to take night shifts and let her sleep but she's convinced breast is best and I don't want to undermine her but also don't want her suffering. How did you guys navigate this without it becoming a thing between you?

Six months in and I learned real quick that fed is best. If she's in pain and exhausted, that's not sustainable. Talk to her doctor about mixed feeding, your kid just needs to eat and mom needs to not suffer.

My twins are 2 and honestly the combo approach has been a lifesaver for us. Your wife doesn't have to choose all or nothing, man. Some breast, some formula, everyone's happier and healthier.
