Bottle feeding vs breastfeeding - not getting support either way

My wife pumps because breastfeeding didn't work out for us (supply issues, pain, the whole thing). It's been a struggle but we're making it work. The issue is my wife's mom keeps making comments about how she should "try harder" to breastfeed, and meanwhile at work people are confused that I can feed the baby too. Feel like we're catching grief from every direction. Anyone else dealing with this?
