Trying to figure out the best approach for us. Wife wants to pump so I can help with feedings at night but we're not sure about the timeline. How many of you guys are doing bottle feedings? What bottles worked best? Looking for real feedback from dads who've been through this. My pediatrician gave us info but I want to hear from people actually living it.
We went the pumping route and it's been a game changer for nights. She started pumping around week 3 and I could take the early morning feeds so she could actually sleep. Takes a bit to build up but totally worth it.
Pumping worked great for us. I was able to jump in on the night bottles once she got established, probably took about 2-3 weeks before we had a good rhythm. Huge relief for her.
We're doing combo feeding and it's been solid. She pumps during the day and I handle bottle duty at night. Game changer for my sanity and lets her get some longer sleep stretches.

We did the same thing with my daughter. My wife pumps in the evenings and I handle the 10pm and 2am feeds. Game changer honestly. Means she gets some uninterrupted sleep and I get that bonding time. Fair warning though, you'll be exhausted but totally worth it.
