Bottle feeding while lying down - safe or stupid?

Quick question: we sometimes prop the bottle in our daughter's mouth (3 months) while she's lying down so we can get a break. We're not leaving her alone, we're right there. Is this actually bad? I feel like people are judgy about it but like... we're present, monitoring her, just not actively holding it every second.
