Breastfeeding is destroying my wife and I don't know how to help

My wife is two weeks postpartum and struggling hard with feeding. Cracked nipples, latching issues, and she's barely sleeping because the baby eats every 1.5 to 2 hours. I feel useless because I can't actually feed him. We got a lactation consultant coming but in the meantime she's in tears every feeding session. What can I actually do besides just watching her suffer? I'd take the pain for her if I could.
