Built a custom nightstand organizer and I'm weirdly proud

So I'm the handy type and got tired of fumbling around in the dark looking for diapers, wipes, thermometer, etc. at 2am. Spent a Saturday afternoon building this little wooden shelf unit that hooks over the side of the bed. Has different compartments, little drawer for diaper cream, even a phone charger holder so I can track feeds on the Huckleberry app without losing my phone in the blankets lol. My wife called it the best decision I've made since the baby was born. Felt good, man.

This is so satisfying to read. I built a wall-mounted caddy for the diaper station and it literally changed my life at 3am when I'm running on fumes. That moment of 'oh right, everything is RIGHT HERE' is peak parenting satisfaction.

The thermometer accessibility is actually brilliant. How many times have I been searching in the dark for that thing at 2am while a kid is running hot. Simple solution that somehow nobody thinks of.

Real question: does it hold up after you bump it like 800 times during diaper changes at night? My worry is something custom built gets jostled and suddenly everything's on the floor
