Celebrated first real smile today

My daughter is 6 weeks old and for the first time today it wasn't just gas, it was a real purposeful smile at me. Made the whole last month of no sleep worth it. I must have taken 50 pictures. My wife rolled her eyes but even she got emotional. These moments go by fast I guess, trying to soak it all in.

Man, that first real smile hits different. Wait until she laughs though - that's when you're really hooked. Congrats on surviving the first 6 weeks, the sleepless nights are worth every second.

Nothing beats that feeling. Pretty soon she'll be grinning at you all the time and you won't even remember how tired you are.
