Celebrating: First smile that wasn't gas!

Our daughter is 8 weeks old and this morning she looked right at me and gave me the biggest gummy smile. My wife has been saying she's been smiling for a week but I was convinced it was all gas. Nope. Real smile. I literally teared up. This whole dad thing might not be so bad after all.

That's the best feeling in the world, man! Those early smiles are pure magic. I remember thinking the same thing about gas until my daughter genuinely smiled at me during a story - now I'm convinced I'm the funniest guy alive.

Dude, I'm right there with you - my little guy is 3 months and just started doing the same thing. It's wild how much that one smile can make the sleepless nights feel worth it.
