We were at my in laws house for dinner, right after I'd just changed our 4 week old. I put him on my shoulder to burp and this explosion just went everywhere. Down my back, on my shirt, it was everywhere. I felt so embarrassed but everyone was cool about it. Just needed to vent. Does this happen to everyone or do I just have bad luck?
This is peak new dad life right here. My oldest did something similar at a family dinner and honestly it became a funny story we still talk about. Hang in there, it gets easier.
Oh man, the in-laws timing is the worst. We had a similar blowout situation and I learned real quick to just laugh it off. At 4 weeks old they're basically poop cannons, so you're doing fine.

This happened to me last month and I'm still embarrassed. Four week olds are unpredictable. Just know it gets better and they become more regular pretty quick. Also your in laws have definitely seen worse.
