Diaper blowouts at 2am are no joke

Had a code brown explosion that went up to my newborn's neck and somehow got on me too. Changed her clothes, my clothes, and the crib sheet. Thought I was prepared but nothing really gets you ready for that. Any tips for containing these things or am I just gonna smell like poop for the next year?

Dude welcome to the club. Those blowouts are absolutely insane. I had one where it went up to the shoulder and I just stood there for a minute questioning all my life choices. The wipes can only do so much.

This is why I always keep a change of clothes for myself nearby at night. Sounds paranoid but trust me, you'll get caught at least once and being prepared saves you from having to change your shirt at 2am.

Code brown at 2am is basically a rite of passage. The fact that it got on you too means you're officially baptized as a dad. Just wait until it explodes sideways out of the diaper and up their back. That's the real nightmare.
