Looking at tandem strollers for when baby #2 arrives next month. Used a BOB single with my first kid and loved it but not sure if the double BOB is worth the $500+ or if I should look at other brands. Will mostly be using for walks/errands, not jogging. Thoughts? What worked for you guys?
Consider your lifestyle for 2+ years. If you're doing mall walks, easy stuff—cheaper option works. If you're hiking trails, uneven sidewalks, going out constantly? BOB quality matters. We justified it as 'will last through multiple kids' and that made it easier.
Counterpoint to the BOB worship: look at Uppababy Vista or Bugaboo Donkey too. Similar price but some people find them easier to fold/store. Definitely test them out if you can—stroller feel is personal.
We got the BOB double and honestly? Worth every penny. We'd used the single too and the double is built the same. Smooth, easy to manage, lasts forever. Some people get cheaper tandem strollers and regret it by month 2.
What about a front-and-back tandem setup instead of side-by-side? Takes up less space and kids aren't kicking each other. We looked at both and the inline ones were way easier in doorways, stores, etc.

Get a double BOB. Seriously. Yes it's expensive but you're already committed to a BOB system and the resale value is insane. Sold ours for like 60% of what we paid after 3 years.
