Feeding bottle vs breastfeeding schedule

So my wife is breastfeeding but we're also doing some bottles so I can help with night feedings and she can get a break. The problem is the schedule is confusing me. Like when do I give a bottle vs when should she breastfeed? And how much should be in the bottle? We have a pediatrician appointment next week but figured Id ask here too since some of you probably dealt with this already.

We're doing the same thing. Honestly it's been great for bonding and gives my wife a break. The bottle after breastfeeding works well for us.

Combo feeding is totally fine. My wife did the same thing so I could handle the 2am and 5am bottles. Really helped us both get more sleep. Just make sure you're on the same page about pumping schedule and supply.

Just watch the bottle introduction timeline your pediatrician recommends but otherwise this is a solid approach. Gives you both flexibility and lets you bond with the baby.

That setup sounds perfect honestly. You get involved in feedings and your wife isn't exhausted doing all the breastfeeding. Win win.
