Our 4 month old is on formula and he's been eating like 8 ounces every 3 hours now instead of the 6 ounces we were doing. Is he just going through a growth spurt or should we talk to the pediatrician? He seems happy and wet diapers are normal so I think he's fine but want to make sure we're doing this right.
Yeah that's classic growth spurt territory. My kids went through like three of those in the first year, always caught me off guard with how much they'd suddenly want to eat.

8oz every 3 hours sounds pretty normal for 4 months actually. My son was doing similar around that age. Just make sure he's gaining weight at checkups and seems satisfied after feedings. The ounces can vary a lot.
That jump from 6 to 8 is pretty typical growth pattern stuff at that age. Watch the wet diaper count more than the exact ounces and you'll know he's getting enough.

Every baby is different but honestly if he seems happy and your pediatrician isn't worried then I'd say you're golden. Babies eat when they're hungry, especially at 4 months.
